The Downtown Moses Lake Association initiates offer for vital financial help

Posted on May 11, 2020
A thriving downtown is essential to any healthy community. That's why the Downtown Moses Lake Association(DMLA) has initiated a $10,000 small business grant program to offer vital financial help to downtown Moses Lake businesses significantly impacted by the result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

More than 75% of businesses are temporarily closed (making no income, however still strapped with rent and other financial pressures), and it will be weeks to months before they can begin to reopen. The DMLA has committed $10,000 of its own funds to this grant program. Yet there are over 200 businesses in our downtown district. $10,000 is not a lot of money to help mitigate covid19 damages but it’s a start and could be the difference between a business reopening or closing forever.

With that in mind, DMLA is looking for community support to help save our downtown business district. Your generous donation will increase the pool of funding and will help ensure some of our friends and neighbors who own businesses can make it through this challenging time and be there to re-open.

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE GRANT
