Carol Betker, Artist shares her talent
Artwork featured on the COVER of Othello Sandhill Crane Festival brochure
V GalleryCarol Betker has been painting in acrylic and oil for more years than she wishes to reveal and has over 20 years of experience teaching art in the public schools of Finley and Burbank, WA. Her inspiration comes from local scenery and moments of time stored in her memory. Ms. Betker’s husband is a wildlife photographer and captures on film great subjects and detail to incorporate into her work. Her paintings are all original, not reproductions of any kind. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA, in 1971. She and her husband now reside in Kennewick, WA, on two acres with one cat, a family of pheasants, quail, and the occasional visit from a neighbor’s peacocks, which makes an appearance in some of her paintings.
