The Spring into Summer – Soroptimist Dinner Party is the annual fundraiser for Soroptimist Moses Lake. Introduced to the community in 2014, the fundraiser has provided funding for Moses Lake Soroptimist to serve the local community, including 500 care packs & 1000+ hygiene kits to local K-5 children through the Care4Kids program, $32k in College Scholarships to local students, $22k in Live Your Dream – Education & Training Awards for local Women, support to 80+ girls in the Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls program, and continued support and awareness by the Domestic Violence program.

The Soroptimist Dinner Party offers guests an opportunity to support Soroptimist Moses Lake’s community programs by reserving seats at dinner parties donated by our generous community and hosted throughout the entire year. The dinner parties foster an opportunity for members in our community to meet new people, learn about new foods, cultures, and causes, and to simply enjoy a new and creative experience while generously supporting the development of local women and children. Dine, Give, Dance. To learn more, go to www.moseslakesoroptimist.org or send an email to [email protected]

Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls

Soroptimist Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls is a program focused on helping girls grow up to be strong, successful, happy adults. Dream It, Be It provides local high school girls with access to professional role models, career education, and resources to help them live their dreams. Soroptimist Moses Lake hosts an annual Career Conference and Spring Fashion Show & Luncheon. In addition to the two annual events, Soroptimist Moses Lake members and community volunteers offer mentoring, job shadowing, and other personal and professional development activities.

Create Your Statement

Soroptimist Moses Lake’s Domestic Violence Committee has enlisted the support of Create Your Statement, an organization out of Spokane – combatting dating abuse. Create Your Statement’s mission is to bring education and awareness to the prevention of dating abuse while promoting leadership and character development among today’s youth. The complimentary event is available to all Middle School & High School students and their parents. Jenny Moeller, Executive Director & Founder of Create Your Statement, will present topics to help reduce the risk and incidence of dating abuse and violence among girls and boys ages 12 to 18 by empowering them to recognize their value and potential while building strengths to form healthy relationships and avoid or end unhealthy relationships.
