In 2013, Moses Lake hosted a swim event in coordination with the Seattle SAA to raise funds for cancer research. swim. The Director of the Seattle Swim, David Day, attended the Moses Lake swim to encourage our community and support our family, friends, and neighbors with cancer.
Today is the 2018 Seattle SAA event and, I invite you to encourage and support David Day and his children as between then and now he lost his wife and his children lost their mother to the cancer battle. We lift you up, David Day, as you continue to make waves to fight cancer as connected communities caring for each other.
Swim Across America Seattle swim is Saturday, September 8th in Lake Washington. Proceeds from the swim will support immunotherapy clinical trials and cancer research at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle Children's and UW Medicine. Over 2.5 million dollars has been created by participating swimmers. Moses Lake swimmers and local business sponsors contributed over 10k of that total. We are so proud of our caring community.
